The process
Four steps, about an hour.
- Step 01
Mask
Automotive tape around every lens so your paint and trim never touch an abrasive.
- Step 02
Sand
Wet sanding through progressive grits until the yellowed UV layer is completely gone.
- Step 03
Polish
Machine polished with plastic-safe compound until the lens reads glass-clear.
- Step 04
Coat
SiO₂ ceramic coating sealed on to block UV and stop the yellowing from coming back.
